DirectorsLabChicago is looking for stage directors
DirectorsLabChicago is looking for stage directors for their upcoming Lab. The theme for this year’s Lab is un/spoken: The Language of the Stage.
This year the many ways in which we can communicate, both on and off the stage will be investigated. The language of music, movement/choreography, design, text, sound, and silence will be considered. Other possibilities for exploration might include translations, dialects, opera, sign language, and verse.
Further, during the Lab you will discuss and find more effective ways to communicate with actors, designers, and marketing team. And we will ask ourselves why we choose the projects we choose, and how we determine what we truly want to say through our work.
The 2016 Lab will be held Sunday, August 21, through Friday, August 26, at the Chicago Cultural Center.
