    Dutch youth theatre showcase at IPAY 2019

    Dutch Performing Arts organises a showcase of Dutch youth theatre at the IPAY Showcase 2019, in collaboration with ASSITEJ NL. The showcase takes place from 15-19 January 2019 in Philadelphia, the United States.
    The programme is the first in a series of activities in the U.S., promoting Dutch film, literature and performing arts for youths — a joint effort of Dutch Performing Arts, ASSITEJ NL, the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York, Dutch Culture, the Dutch Foundation for Literature, the Netherlands Film Fund, and EYE.

    The IPAY Showcase is a platform for theatre companies from all over the world that cater to youth audiences in the U.S., and this year features several Dutch performances.

    Programme Dutch youth theatre
    The following youth theatre companies will present a full-length performance:
    Kwatta - 'Jabberbabble'
    De Dansers - 'Pokon'
    Simone de Jong - 'Hermit'
    Maas Theater en Dans - 'Egg-tion Hero'

    Three companies will present their work during a 'Dutch afternoon' with pitch sessions:
    Theater Terra - 'The Little Mermaid'
    Meneer Monster - 'The Robbers'
    NTjong- 'Robot XS'

    Part of the official Spotlight Showcase Selection, Andreas Denk from dance company plan d- will present a 20-minute live performance of the show 'OW!'.

    The exact dates, times and locations of the performances and pitch sessions are to be announced.
