Tin Men and the Telephone
In a showcase titled 'Sounds of the Dutch Underground', four Netherlands-based music groups will perform at Winter Jazzfest in New York, the United States. Performing as part of the Dutch showcase are: Tineke Postma Freya, Tin Men and the Telephone, Niels Broos & Jamie Peet, and Binkbeats.
Sounds of the Dutch Underground is a co-production of Dutch Performing Arts, Good Music Company and Winter Jazzfest, supported by Buma Cultuur and the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in New York.

The Sounds of the Dutch Underground showcase takes place on 12 January 2020 at Nublu Club, featuring the following artists:

19:30 Tineke Postma Freya
20:45 Tin Men and the Telephone
22:00 Niels Broos & Jamie Peet
23:15 Binkbeats

The artists are a prime example of forward-thinking contemporary jazz being made today in the Netherlands. They represent a very distinctive Dutch style, blending contemporary music with jazz, improvised music, and electronics.
