Assitej representing Dutch Performing Arts abroad

Dutch Performing Arts has commissioned Assitej NL to represent the Dutch performing arts for children at nine different theatre and dance festivals across Europe, in 2017 and 2018.
Assitej NL's board members will visit amongst others Sand Festival (Norway, September), Krokusfestival and Bronks/Next Festival (Belgium, February), Momix Festival (France, February), Panoptikum and Schöne Aussicht (Germany, January and May) and Edinburgh International Children's Festival (Scotland, May). The purpose of these visits is to strenghten the ties with the international network, and to stimulate chances for performances by Dutch companies at these festivals. These renowned festivals appreciate the quality of Dutch youth theatre and dance. They have shown interest in Dutch children's theatre and dance by presenting work of Dutch companies.

Besides this, Dutch Performing Arts financially supported five members of Assitej NL to visit the World Assitej Meeting in Capetown, last May. And last but not least, two of its members will be sent to the IPAY meeting in January, in Philadelphia.

For more information on this commission contact Kees Blijleven via kees.blijleven@krakeling.nl.
