Hakawy International Arts Festival for Children invites artists and companies to submit their performance for the festival's 11th edition, taking place from 11-20 March 2021 in Egypt.
Hakawy International Arts Festival for Children brings together a wide range of performances from all over the world geared to young audiences. The performances are presented over the course of ten days, with the goal to educate and entertain Egyptian children and their families through arts and culture.

Submissions
The festival invites artists and companies to submit their performance for the 2021 festival programme. The organisation is mostly looking for shows which could be performed either indoors or in outdoor spaces. Interactive installations are accepted as well.

Deadline for submissions is 31 July 2020. To submit your performance, fill out this form.

Requirements
The performance is a non-verbal performance.
The performance is geared to children aged 0-18.
The company that will be performing at the festival consists of up to four members.
The set and props used in the performance can travel by plane as extra luggage or could be built in Egypt. Cargo transportation for the set on a larger scale is not possible.

Submissions that don't meet these requirements will not be considered by the organisation.

The selection process will be completed in September 2020; shortlisted performances will be contacted by the festival team.
