    Call for proposals: Platforms for cultural content innovation

    The European Commission launches a pilot project to boost Europe's content industries through innovation, collaboration and new digital technologies. Professionals in the content industry are invited to submit their proposals.
    The European Commission invites professionals in audiovisual media, multimedia, publishing, music and other parts of the content industry to send in their proposals.

    In order to boost European content industries to nurture and embrace innovation and take up new technologies and to help them to sustain their position as pioneers in the digital era, the Commission will implement the pilot project 'Platform(s) for cultural content innovation'.

    Submissions
    Deadline for submissions is 20 September 2019.
    The total amount of funding available is 1.038.000 euros. Selected proposals will receive up to 60% of the total eligible costs of the project(s). The European Commission can select up to three proposals.

    Objectives of the pilot project:
    incentivise European content industries to nurture and embrace innovation and take up new technologies in order to be able to sustain their position as creative pioneers in the digital era,
    bring together players from different content industries, and instil a mind-set of innovation and collaboration through the sharing of experiences, data and knowledge,
    test and develop new approaches and business models for content creation, distribution and promotion, taking advantage of digital technologies and taking into account new audience patterns and behaviours,
    existence and operation of platform(s) for cultural content innovation.
