Update on our activities

Dutch Performing Arts promotes Dutch music, theatre and dance abroad. Last year we presented performing arts from the Netherlands to international programmers at 12 Dutch festivals & showcases and at 24 key international events, such as inJazz, Operadagen Rotterdam, IPAY and WOMEX. We also presented 60 performing artists and groups to international audiences at 35 international festivals & venues. An animation and infographics provide an overview of our activities.

Dutch Performing Arts | En France

In the context of Dutch Performing Arts | En France, a whole diversity of Dutch performances can once again be enjoyed in France over the summer. For example, Art Collective BetweenTwoHands is appearing at the Scènes ouvertes à l’insolite festival in Paris on 1 and 2 June and the Nederlands Dans Theater is performing choreographies by Marco Goecke and Lightfoot & León during the Montpellier Danse festival on 6 and 7 July. In addition, several site-specific and visual theatre companies are presenting their work during the Cratère Surfaces outdoor festival and Toneelgroep Amsterdam is performing at the Festival d’Avignon.

Apply for ISPA’s Dutch Fellowship Programme

The International Society of Performing Arts (ISPA) is issuing an open call for The Netherlands Fellowship Programme. Within this fellowship, ISPA will provide mid-career leaders from the Netherlands the opportunity to access ISPA’s extensive international network of arts professionals. ISPA seeks to engage leaders who are based in the Netherlands and are interested in developing their career through an extended engagement with this society. From 16 to 20 May, De Doelen and Dutch Performing Arts promoted the classical and contemporary music scene at the Dutch Pavilion during Classical:NEXT at De Doelen, Rotterdam. Dutch speed-date sessions, network receptions, 3 showcases, 2 pitches and 4 conference sessions attracted more than 164 Dutch delegates and many international visitors. You can find photos here.

From 20 to 22 July the Wonderfeel classical music festival is being staged in the midst of nature close to Hilversum. With more than 100 performances in three days, Wonderfeel is the perfect place for professionals from the cultural sector to discover Dutch musicians and programmes.

Dutch World Stage at inJazz

inJazz and Dutch Performing Arts, together with World Music Forum NL, are collaborating closely on a Dutch World Stage at inJazz to introduce (new) Dutch work, musicians and bands to an international audience. On Friday, 29 June, Lingua Franca Ensemble, Shishani & the Namibian Tales, Son Swagga and Tabanka are being given the opportunity to showcase themselves on this special stage in LantarenVenster, Rotterdam. Dutch World Stage is commissioned by Dutch Performing Arts.



Visit Dutch dance performances during Julidans

Julidans is an international dance festival that runs from 2 to 15 July in Amsterdam, with a wide range of challenging productions and premieres.
